Levin Eugene (1922 - 1993). An USSR artist. A recognized master of the socialist realism. He was born in Kharkov in 1922. In 1939-1941 he had been studying in Kharkov's State School of Art and in Kharkov's Fine Art Institute in 1942-1949. A follower of Dmitry Shavykin. Since 1949, he participated in numerous exhibitions, including regional, all-USSR and international. Levin was a member of the National Artists’ Union of Ukrainian Soviet Socialite Republic since 1950. He was a teacher at the Voroshilovgrad State School of Art (now Lugansk) in 1949-50.
